I recently stayed at a charming hotel in Chatel for a ski trip. Auberge De La Dranse offered clean and tidy rooms, a delicious breakfast buffet with a choice of eggs and bacon, and superb meals included on the half board rate. The ski store in the basement and the two-minute walk to the Linga Lift made it very convenient. The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. fantastic value for money!
Strongly recommend this hotel.

the value for money was incredible, and the food was unbelievably good. I loved trying the local specialties, including delicious French cheese and wine. the family who runs the hotel was hardworking, friendly, and always helpful. the location was perfect, with just a 5-minute walk to the ski lift, providing easy access to the slopes in both France and Switzerland. the rooms were clean and tidy, and the bathroom was great. One of my favorite amenities was the sauna, which I enjoyed every night after a long day of skiing. Cons: Everything was spot on! 👌🏼.

The value for money at this hotel was absolutely fantastic! The food was out of this world, with plenty of local specialties to enjoy. And let's not forget about the French cheese and wine - absolutely yummy! The family running the hotel were hardworking, friendly, and always ready to help. The location was also a big plus, just a 5-minute walk to the ski lift, giving us easy access to the slopes in both France and Switzerland. The rooms were clean and tidy, with a great bathroom and good size. And the cherry on top? Using the sauna every night to relax after a hard day on the slopes.
Honestly, there was nothing to complain about during our stay. The rooms were a bit on the smaller side, but they were still clean and tidy.

I absolutely loved the charming decor of the hotel, with its cozy fireplace and beautiful wooden furniture. The general areas were well-maintained and inviting, making it a delightful place to relax and socialize. As a senior woman, I really appreciated the hotel's accessibility. The friendly staff made sure there were handrails and clear signage throughout the premises, making it easy for me to navigate and feel safe.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is for the children working there to be a bit more attentive to our needs. While they were generally helpful and polite, I felt they could have been a bit more proactive in offering assistance or checking in on us.
